A SPECIAL MEETING WITH THE VICEPRESIDENT OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY

On Thursday July 2nd 2020, SEK Paraguay International School had the honor and privilege of having an online meeting with the Mr. Julio César Arriola, Vice president of the United Nations’ General Assembly and Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay in Diplomatic Mission at the United Nations.

High School students had the opportunity to interview Mr. Arriola and the Vice president answered all the questions with great detail and attention, explaining to all the presents in the online meeting the very relevant job done by the Paraguayan Ambassador at the United Nations, the great responsibilities of sitting in the chair of the Vice presidency of the General Assembly and also how interesting and exciting the career of diplomacy can be for future students that might want to follow these steps. This experience is not only an honor and privilege, but also a great way of showing high school students all the possibilities for future studies at university and employment opportunities in their adult life. To work as a diplomat, using all the skills in different languages and knowledge about history and politics, can be a great option for students interested in these subjects.
